I love Degas. His use of color and the energetic movements of his brush strokes inspired me to pay tribute to him with this painting.
There was a short timeframe in my childhood in which I was able to take dance lessons. I remember being all dressed up in my outfit waiting to go on stage to perform. The fear, the trepidation, the butterflies in my stomache….the anticipation.
