Currently accepting commissions.
MY PROCESS: I paint in the style of the old masters but with a fresh modern approach. It is a multi step process that starts with an underpainting and gradually color layers are built up to create and painting that has a depth that practically glows.
MY MATERIALS: I am currently accepting commissions for animal portraits. I use triple primed Belgian linen and mix my own premium paint with pure pigments. What does this mean for you? This means the product you will receive will not only be created with love, skill, and meticulous care but is also constructed with the best materials money can buy.
HOW DO COMMISSIONS WORK? Ideally I would meet and photograph the subject, but if that is not possible, I will ask for several clear and detailed photos.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? Depending on the size of the desired painting it will take anywhere from six to ten weeks to complete.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Each commission will be individually evaluated based on a number of factors including size and complexity of scene. You will be provided your individual quote after consultation.
I can, however, give a ballpark figure. For example, 12″x16″ (medium in size) is a very popular size and they start at $600.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK? 50% must be paid upfront and the remainder upon completion. I accept credit cards via Paypal. I also accept Zelle payments.
As an added bonus and for a limited time, I am offering free shipping and handling on commissioned work.

Sherry painted my best friend Bruneau from a digital photograph I had of him. I simply cannot believe how well it came out. It looks exactly like him. The detail and the colors are amazing! The painting is in my living room and I love how the different colors emerge as the light changes, and no glare. I feel like Bruneau is back in my living room with me. Thank you Sherry!
Sherry did such a wonderful job capturing the essence and spirit of my husband’s beloved best friend Jacob Lee (aka Jake). I gave it to him as a birthday present and it made him cry! I highly recommend Sherry. Give her an opportunity to help memorialize your fur friend!
Sherry is a wonderful instructor that does a magnificent job at continuing Bob Ross’s legacy, The Joy of Painting. Painting should make you feel good! I had lots of fun and shared laughs at both classes I attended. Her daughter is also a joy to have in class!!
